JST Reader is an offline reader for Randall D. Eberline’s compilation of the Joseph Smith Translation of the Bible, intertwined with the King James Version. This policy describes what the app does with information - which is, in full: nothing leaves your device.
What the app collects
Nothing. JST Reader has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting, and no tracking of any kind.
What the app stores
The highlights, notes, and bookmarks you make are stored in a database on your own device, alongside your reading preferences (text size, typeface, appearance, reading mode, and last position). This data never leaves the device. It is removed if you clear the app’s data or uninstall the app, and it is included in your device’s normal backup only if you have enabled system backups yourself.
Network access
The Android release of JST Reader does not request the internet permission, so it is not able to send or receive anything over a network. The complete scripture text ships inside the app and is read from local storage.
Children
The app collects no data from anyone, including children. It contains no advertising and no links out beyond this policy.
Changes
If a future version of the app changes any of the above - for example, by adding an optional online feature - this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the change will be described in the version’s release notes.
